Introducing DOCALERT brought to you by Software Management, LLC— a FREE powerful tool to help protect you from potential fraud related to mortgages and deeds. You can register to receive email notifications whenever a mortgage or deed is filed in your name or your business name at the County Clerk’s Office.
How It Works:
Registration is simple and secure, requiring only your name and email. Once registered, DOCALERT will send you an alert whenever a mortgage or deed bearing your name is recorded, so you can stay informed and act swiftly in the case of any unauthorized filings.

Records
It is the responsibility of the county clerk to issue, register, record, and keep various county records including legal and land records. Legal records and Land Records can be viewed at the Green County Courthouse. Land records can also be viewed online through the ecclix.com system
Motor Vehicles
Motor vehicle licensing is the most widely used service of the County Clerk’s office. Various motor vehicle forms can be downloaded from this website for your convenience.
LICENSE PLATES
The state of Kentucky offers many different license plate designs. Many of these can also be personalized. Pictures, initial cost of the plate, renewal cost, eligibility, personalization cost, and personalization availability lookup are all available on the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

REGISTRATION RENEWAL
There are several ways you may renew your registration:
- CLERK’S OFFICE You will need to bring your registration renewal notice, registration receipt, proof of insurance, and check or money order to the clerk’s office.
- US MAIL You can mail your registration renewal notice, registration receipt, proof of insurance, and check or money order to the clerk’s office. Be sure to add $2 to your payment for handling.
- ONLINE You may qualify for online renewal. Payments can be made using a credit card. An additional $5 convenience fee will be charged for online renewals. View requirements and/or renew online.
VOTER INFORMATION
Absentee ballots are available through the county clerk’s office in person, by phone, mail, or fax. To ensure your are eligible to vote absentee, please review the information on eligibility.

Conducting Elections
The County Clerk is responsible for conducting all elections including Primary, General, and Special elections. The County Clerk is also responsible for all the various aspects of elections including registering and purging voter rolls, providing election forms and election results.

PRE-ELECTION ACTIVITIES
November 5, 2025 – Earliest date for the affixing of signatures on candidate filing forms for an office on the ballot in 2026.
December 31, 2025 – Last day to change political party affiliation and be eligible to vote in the political party’s upcoming primary election.
January 9, 2026, at 4 PM – Candidate filing deadline: last day to file nomination papers for candidates who must run in the primary.
April 20, 2026, at 4 PM – Last day to register to vote for the primary.
June 2, 2026, at 4 PM – Non-partisan candidate filing deadline.
October 5, 2026, at 4 PM – Last day to register or make changes for the General Election.
PRIMARY ELECTION
April 4, 2026, to May 5th, 2026, at 11:59 PM – Online mail-in absentee portal open for PRIMARY ELECTION mail-in ballot requests.
April 20, 2026, at 4 PM – Last day to register to vote for the primary.
May 6th to 8th and 11th to 13th, 2026 – Excused, in-person absentee voting.
May 14th to 16th, 2026 – ln person, no-excuse early voting.
May 19, 2026, from 6 AM to 6 PM – PRIMARY ELECTION DAY.
